The Joint Conference on Serious Games (JCSG) is dedicated to Serious Games and their multifaceted characteristics. The conference addresses all aspects related to the theory and practice of Serious Games, encompassing design, development, evaluation, assessment and efficacy, immersion and engagement, technology and platform considerations, and the diverse application domains within which Serious Games can be utilized.

Theme
This year, the conference wants to highlight works that address the topic of specialized target audiences - for example elderly citizens, people of a specific job, or reaching minorities versus majorities - and how Serious Games need to be designed to address their needs. Authors are encouraged to submit papers which highlight approaches, experiments and best practices on the topic to encourage inclusive design and development. As in all previous years, papers on topics not necessarily related to the year’s theme are also very welcome.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers (12-15 pages*) should describe novel unpublished scientific work relating to one or more of the topics listed on the website.
- Short papers (up to 6 pages*) should describe best-practice results or new ideas and concepts, experiments.
- Posters (up to 6 pages*) should describe new ideas, approaches and work in progress.
- Demo papers (up to 6 pages*) should describe experiments, demos of Serious Games, products/titles and prototypes.
Please prepare your paper submission in the Springer LNCS one-column format.
Accepted long papers and short papers are presented in the regular sessions with oral presentations. Poster and demo papers are presented in an open, interactive forum during poster sessions.
* Page lengths do not include bibliography, but they do include title and abstract.

Publication
JCSG 2025 proceedings will be published by Springer in their LNCS series.
Venue
The conference will be held in Rotkreuz, close to Lucerne, at the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology (HSLU) hosted by the Immersive Realities Center.
