Manuscripts submitted to ICETA 2026 must:
- Present original scientific or technical work.
- Be written entirely in English.
- Contain between 6 and 10 pages.
- Include no more than four authors.
- Follow one of the official ICETA 2026 manuscript templates.
- Not have been previously published in another conference or journal.
- Be submitted exclusively through the ICETA 2026 EasyChair platform.
The Scientific Committee is composed of researchers selected on the basis of their expertise and research experience. Only papers that comply with the submission requirements and receive a favorable evaluation will be accepted.
2. Originality and Similarity Screening
All submitted manuscripts will undergo an initial compliance and originality screening.
A designated member of the Organizing Committee, acting as Proceedings Manager, will:
- Verify compliance with the basic submission requirements.
- Analyze the manuscript using similarity-detection software.
- Check whether the work has previously been published in another conference or journal.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources, ideas, data, figures, tables, and previously published material are appropriately cited.
A manuscript that does not meet the originality or submission requirements may be rejected before or during the review process.
3. Manuscript Templates
Authors must use one of the official ICETA 2026 templates (E3S Web of Conferences) when preparing their initial submission:
The template must be used without modifying its page size, margins, fonts, column structure, heading styles, or other formatting specifications.
4. Required Manuscript Structure
Below are the sections that must be included in a scientific article, the recommended content for each section, and the suggested word limit. These guidelines aim to ensure clarity, coherence, and rigor in the presentation of research. More info here.
a. Title.- Recommended content: The title should be concise, descriptive, and reflect the main content of the article. Avoid jargon or non-standard abbreviations. Word limit: Maximum 15 words.
b. Abstract.- Recommended content: Provide a clear and brief summary that includes the study's objective, methodology, main results, and conclusions. It should be self-contained, meaning it is understandable without reading the full article. Word limit: 150-250 words.
c. Keywords.- Recommended content: Include 3 to 6 keywords that represent the main concepts of the article. These terms should facilitate indexing and searching of the article in scientific databases. Word limit: 3-6 terms.
d. Introduction.- Recommended content: Present the context and relevance of the study, review existing literature, identify the knowledge gap, and state the research objectives or questions. Word limit: 300-500 words.
e. Methods.- Recommended content: Describe the study design, materials used, procedures, and data analysis techniques in detail. The section should be clear enough to allow replication of the study. Word limit: 500-800 words.
f. Results.- Recommended content: Present the findings clearly and organized, using tables, figures, and text as needed. Do not interpret the results in this section. Word limit: 500-700 words.
g. Discussion.- Recommended content: Interpret the results in the context of existing literature, discuss the study's implications, limitations, and potential future research directions. Word limit: 600-900 words.
h. Conclusion.- Recommended content: Summarize the main findings and their significance. Avoid repeating information already mentioned in the discussion. Word limit: 150-300 words.
i. Acknowledgments.- Recommended content: Acknowledge the contributions of individuals, institutions, or funders who supported the research. Word limit: 50-100 words.
5. Review Process
After submission, each manuscript will proceed through the following stages:
Stage 1 — Compliance and originality screening.- The Proceedings Manager will verify the manuscript’s length, language, number of authors, use of the template, originality, and publication status.
Stage 2 — Track assignment.- The manuscript will be assigned to the most appropriate ICETA 2026 conference track.
Stage 3 — Scientific review.- The track coordinator will select (up to three) qualified reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject of the paper.
Stage 4 — Decision.- Following the evaluation process, authors will receive one of the following decisions:
- Accepted
- Accepted subject to minor revisions
- Rejected
Decisions, reviewer comments, and instructions will be communicated through EasyChair. Authors should regularly monitor both their EasyChair account and the email address registered for the corresponding author.
EasyChair supports decision notifications, access to reviews, updates to submissions, and communications from conference chairs; automatic messages are commonly directed to corresponding authors.
When a paper is accepted subject to minor revisions, the authors will have 15 days from the date of the decision notification to complete the requested changes.
6. Presentation of Accepted Papers
Every accepted paper must be presented by at least one of its authors. Presentations will be delivered during the in-person event or through the virtual platform designated by ICETA 2026.
