CIMODE 2026 is the eighth International Fashion and Design Congress, to be held from October 21 to 23, 2026 in the city of Florianópolis, under the theme: "Weaving Futures".
The current edition is organised by Centro de Artes, Design e Moda (CEART) of Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC), ABEPEM - Associação Brasileira de Estudos e Pesquisas em Moda and Colóquio de Moda, with Departamento de Engenharia Têxtil and Centro de Ciência e Tecnologia Têxtil of Universidade do Minho.
The participation of more than 300 researchers and professionals from around the world in the fields of Fashion and Design is expected.

The State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC), through the Center for Arts, Design and Fashion (CEART), is a leading public institution in Brazil in the areas of arts, design and fashion. Located in Florianópolis, CEART develops teaching, research and extension activities aimed at knowledge production, aesthetic experimentation and the critical training of professionals and researchers in the field of creative industries. The center brings together undergraduate courses and graduate programs that articulate artistic practices, theoretical reflection and interdisciplinary research. In the field of fashion and design, it stands out for promoting studies that address material culture, creative processes, sustainability, innovation and communication, establishing a constant dialogue with the contemporary contexts of cultural production and the creative economy.
CEART maintains collaborative networks with universities, research centers and cultural institutions in Brazil and abroad, encouraging academic mobility, the realization of joint projects and the international circulation of researchers and students. Through these initiatives, the center consolidates its role as a space for the production and dissemination of knowledge committed to cultural, artistic and scientific development on a global scale.
