SAAMAConf-2025: SAAMA 2025 Conference aha Gateway Hotel Umhlanga, South Africa, June 11-12, 2025

We cordially invite international and national asset management practitioners and other professionals to the 2025 Annual Southern African Asset Management Association (SAAMA2025) Conference.

SAAMA 2025 allows industry, government and academia to showcase the latest case studies, practice and research.

The SAAMA Conference will take place from 11-12 June 2025.

Delegates will benefit from networking opportunities to exchange ideas, gain insight from peers and engage with the most up-to-date thinking in asset management. Besides these personal growth opportunities, delegates will earn CPD points for attending the conference. An award will be presented for the best presentation and best paper presented at the conference.

The following topic areas are of particular interest for SAAMA2025 Sharpening the Edge of Asset Management:

• Innovate - Embracing cutting-edge technologies like digitalisation, predictive maintenance, and Industry 4.0 in Asset Management. The importance of continuous innovation in improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and staying competitive.
• Sustain - The growing necessity of sustainability in Asset Management and the impact it has on practices that are aligned with sustainability goals, such as reducing carbon footprints, conserving resources, and implementing greener technologies.
• Thrive - The ultimate goal of resilience and long-term success in asset management by optimising asset performance while ensuring adaptability to disruptions.

Submission Procedure

Abstracts are invited for both the FULL RESEARCH PAPER and PRESENTATION tracks. Academic and industry submissions are encouraged for both tracks. Once the abstracts have been accepted, authors can submit a full paper or a presentation only. All full papers will be subjected to a double-blind peer review process per the Department of Higher Education and Training requirements. Peer-reviewed papers will be published in the conference proceedings, earning publication credits.

Kindly note that the conference’s official language is English and that the author(s) of accepted papers will be required to present physically.

The author agrees to present their accepted paper or presentation as scheduled in the conference programme. If the author cannot participate in person, they agree to arrange for a suitable replacement (colleague/ co-authors) to present on their behalf. They will notify the SAAMA organisers at least 30 days before the conference starts.

Copyright policy: Accepted papers will be published electronically and online as part of the conference proceedings.
