A smart city is a kind of urbanization that focuses on making cities more sustainable, well organized, infrastructure-ready, and citizen-friendly by implementing smart technology. It is possible to develop a smart city by utilizing all the latest efficient technology to provide us with an efficient way of living. One of the most important technologies for smart cities is Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). RFID is an integrated technology that allows the tracking of physical objects in smart cities while they are stationary or moving. To further process these objects, unique identification numbers and their static and dynamic status are collected.

This powerful book will provide an overview of RFID technology, its associated applications, RFID design and manufacturing, and implementation challenges.
