The Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (CISSE) proudly announces its 30th Annual Colloquium, the nation's premier forum dedicated to advancing cybersecurity education. This milestone event will be held in person at Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis, Indiana, from October 26–28, 2026.
Celebrating three decades of collaboration, the 30th Colloquium brings together educators, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, industry leaders, and students to exchange ideas, share innovations, and strengthen the future of cybersecurity education.
For its 30th Anniversary, CISSE expands beyond the traditional research conference to offer multiple participation opportunities, including scholarly papers, posters, panels, workshops, roundtables, presentations, master classes, and academic program walk-throughs. Whether you are presenting original research, demonstrating innovative teaching practices, or facilitating community dialogue, there is a venue designed for your contribution.
About CISSE
CISSE convenes educators, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from academia, government, industry, and the nonprofit sector to advance cybersecurity education through collaboration, scholarship, and community engagement. The Colloquium serves as a national forum for sharing research, innovative pedagogy, curriculum development, workforce initiatives, and emerging practices shaping the future of cybersecurity education.

Conference Participation Requirements
- At least one author or presenter must register and attend The Colloquium in person.
- Accepted papers must be presented in person for publication consideration.
- All accepted submission types are expected to be presented during the conference.
Artificial Intelligence Disclosure
Authors must disclose any use of generative AI or automated tools within their submission. AI systems may not be listed as authors, and authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their work.

Academic Papers
Academic Papers present original research, educational innovation, curriculum development, empirical studies, case studies, technical analyses, and applied practices that advance cybersecurity education.
Accepted papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in the Journal of the Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (JCISSE). Initial submissions must be fully anonymized for double-blind peer review.

- 3,000–4,000 words
- Abstract limited to 250 words
- Include DOI links where available
- 300 dpi minimum for all graphics
- Double-blind anonymization required
- ORCID iDs required for all authors upon acceptance
- All authors must be identified at initial submission
Student Papers
Student authors should identify their submission as a student paper. Eligible submissions will be considered for the Erich Spengler Student Paper of the Year Award.
Publication & Copyright
Accepted papers receive Crossref DOIs and are published immediately as open access in JCISSE. Copyright remains with the authors while granting CISSE permission to publish and distribute the work.
Panels
Panels bring together multiple perspectives on emerging issues, educational challenges, policy questions, and innovative practices through moderated discussion.
- Recommended panel size: 4–6 participants
- 1–2 paragraph proposal
- Include moderator and proposed panelists
Posters
Research Posters encourage discussion of works in progress, emerging ideas, classroom innovations, and exploratory research.
- Original work only
- Abstract of 500 words or fewer

Workshops & Roundtables
Interactive sessions promoting faculty development, curriculum innovation, demonstrations, collaboration, and community engagement.
